of Winsford in the heart of Exmoor National Park.
Enjoy the cosiness and comfort
of my quaint 200 year old Exmoor cottage with its oak beams, inglenock fireplace and rustic charm and wonderful views over the village of Winsford and up the river valley - a truely peaceful place in which to relax.

After your day exploring Exmoor sit and relax by the wood burner or visit any one of the local pubs and restaurants.

The Royal Oak, Winsford is just down the road call in for a meal or chat with the locals.

The sitting room and dining room are both comfortable, homely and ideal for relaxing at the end of the day. The rooms are open planned with the original heavily beamed ceilings and antique furniture.

The cottage has full central heating as well as the wood burner and is warm and cosy.

Winsford is an excellent area for walkers, bird watchers and to enjoy the countryside.

There is a lovely view from the kitchen window across the valley and wild red deer can often be seen
grazing or lying in the sunshine.

The village has a small well stocked Post Office and Stores, a Village Hall, a Village Green
and licensed tea rooms.

Pay a visit to Tarr Steps and Winsford Hill or pop over to the market town of Dulverton or to the market
town of Taunton where Farmers' markets are held most weeks and you can
sample the true Somerset Cider and taste locally produced 'real' meat!

There are plenty of places to visit just a short drive away.
Heather clad moors, sandy beaches, the Cliff Railway at Lynton and Lynmouth a ride on the West Somerset Steam Railway. Explore the National Trust properties including Dunster Castle, Arlington Court and Knightshayes Court.

Or maybe a trip to Rosemoor Gardens and Dartington Glass near Torrington or the Doone Valley and Malmsmead made famous by the book about Lorna Doone by R D Blackmore.

The choice of places you can visit from here is excellent whatever your tastes.
