The farmhouse is regularly used by members of the owning family as well
as being available for holiday-makers.
It is an ideal location for a group holiday, corporate hospitality,
family reunion or to celebrate a special occasion with friends
and family when you want that little bit of extra luxury.

We have 3 local ladies that provide meals delivered to you if required
during your stay.
Honeymead is a 1,000 acre estate which has been owned by the Waley-Cohen
family since the early part of the last century
and as well as a large garden, the Old Farmhouse benefits from extensive
views over the estate and beyond.
Visitors may to walk over the estate to join public footpaths along
the River Barle as it flows from Simonsbath towards
Landacre Bridge and the village of Withypool.

The large very well equipped kitchen is in the centre of the house - it is an 'eat-in' kitchen with an AGA style stove,
electric oven and hob, microwave, dish-washer and fridge/freezer and a breakfast table.
There is a large utility room equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer and large fridge

Adjacent to the farmhouse kitchen is the formal dining room which is ideal for those special dining occasions
|

There are number of very comfortable reception rooms, one with a grand piano as well as a separate television room.
All the rooms are beautifully furnished with all the soft furnishings and curtains made
by a very clever lady called Jayne who lives on the estate

There is a large well equipped games room and a sunny conservatory with French doors leading outside

This self catering property has 5 bedrooms - 3 en-suite doubles, two of which have their own dressing room areas
and two twin rooms which share a fourth bathroom.

There is
a tennis court available for use by all at Honeymead including visitors
to the Farmhouse.
Please bring your own rackets, balls and proper shoes.
Dogs are welcomed, but are expected to be clean when inside the Old
Farmhouse, not left alone there and kept off the furniture.
There is free wi-fi based in the TV room/study and service is available
in most rooms.

Exmoor is
ideal for country sports enthusiasts with rural and county shows, horse
shows and gymkhana, Golden Horseshoe Ride in May, Exford Show, Dunster
Country Fair, Dunster Show and West Somerset Railway being just a few.
Exmoor is ideal riding country with many miles of bridleways and for
hunting enthusiasts there are seven packs of hounds to follow the nearest
of course being the Devon and Somerset Staghounds based nearby in the
village of Exford.
Walking, mountain biking shooting and fishing are all available in the area during your stay.
If you have
a special event to celebrate there are several ladies living nearby
who will produce excellent mouth watering food ready for you to eat
or pop in the Aga
The Honeymead Classical Music Festival is held in April and the Two
Moors Classical Music Festival in late October.
There are
many fine restaurants and pubs serving locally sourced food within a
few miles. Popular Tea Rooms can be found in Withypool, Exford and Winsford
serving delicious light meals and Cream Teas. Tried and tested by the
locals!

There are plenty of interesting places to visit during your stay including Tarr Steps near Winsford, the popular country towns of Dulverton and South Molton, West Somerset Steam Railway, National Trust properties including Dunster Castle, Arlington Court, Knightshayes and many more. The surfing beaches of North Devon are easily reached and the South West Coastal Path and Coleridge Way.
